heyy nice to see the new update, glad we could get a refreshing look of Viktor<3 and new arts! this made me excited to replay it all over again despite having got all ends. at any rate, quite a treat to be coming back to it one day! in the meanwhile, im itching to give your other works a go, so look forward to that haha
Hi Manedza!! Thank you for keeping an eye out for updates! ☺️ I hope you will enjoy it when you replay it! And thank you once again for checking it out the other time, and leaving your comments and suggestions. They really helped me when I was working on this new version! Thank you for checking out my other games, I hope you will enjoy them as well! 😁🌷💖
one noticeable thing for me at first of getting into this was the default small text size, took quite a bit for me to get used to it and only after finishing this did i realize there was still that accessibility option of shift+A. oh well, future note for myself if i ever replay this.
this one rekindled my otome interest, felt like i was brought back to those classy antique otome era back then what with the beautiful GUI too. i honestly skimmed over the ‘vampire’ word here so i was like delighted by the hints linking up to each other and having a ‘called it!’ moment. that was just silly though, but what was even more silly, i got bad end of Michael first, that one titled ‘do you trust me’ and had me screeching angry in agony at myself. i did find one typo of double ‘my’ in the line ’Michael leans close to me … ’, just minor and the rest of experience was still overall smooth.
when Viktor first made an appearance, i honestly thought he was just going to be this cold type of male lead, but turns out he was much better and responsible and wise lived up to his ancient vibe! i fell for him hard lol (we have same zodiac too wooo!), and got his true end right away (and even reaching his bad end without meaning to..) it was because of him i had squealed, my maidenly young heart brought alive mnay times more than i can count. the vampire pandemic scenes were set up in a pretty relevant-realistic and matching intense atmosphere really shone out the horrors.
another thing that felt loose-ended and i guess almost unsatisfying was what happened to Theo, vague and well, i’d just like to see him suffering tbh, and i forgot if it ever brought up why Theo didnt speak up about letting Emilia go or something but i assume it probably had to do with pride, putting himself and his own family at a stake (haha) and that the founders influence was just that powerful over even the Bolton.
Hi Manedza! Thank you for your kind review! 😊🌸 I enjoyed reading about your experience of the game, and I am so happy you liked Viktor! ❤️ He had my maidenly young heart beating too when I wrote him! 😄 I am also happy to hear that you enjoyed the story. If you ever want to give Michael’s route a try again, you might want to check out the route guide. I am updating the game at the moment (some new artwork), I will also take into account what you have mentioned about the font size and see if I can make some adjustments there! And thanks for pointing out the typo, I am going to look into it as well and edit that bit!
And now... spoilers:
About Theo’s motivation for hurting Emilia: He actually didn’t want to hurt her in the beginning because she was Michael’s friend and he considered her a part of his circle. But he was annoyed at her for interrupting him when he tried to prey on her classmate, and when he noticed her following him into the town square he decided to “get rid of her”. He had already become affected by his vampiric instincts and was more driven by bloodlust, and he was also filled with a sense of superiority from having gained seemingly superhuman powers. He didn’t think Emilia was going to survive the attack, and he thought that he could just hide his crime afterwards, like he did with the others that he had hurt.
About Theo’s ending: Viktor did hint at executing him, and in the end he did have his guards do that. He only vaguely mentioned it because he knew it would upset Emilia since despite everything she didn’t want Theo to be hurt.
When I saw you published a new game, I was like, alright otome isn't really my cup of tea, but I just know it'll be great. And oh boy was I right!
I really enjoyed the experience, and the multiple endings. The art, including the UI, is so very well crafted and fitting. I can imagine why you couldn't make it for the deadline in time, the kind of details you put into this take forever!
The music choices and the SFX really bring the game up a lot, and the way the story is layed out makes it really inmersive and intriguing!
I got the normal ending first, then the lambs, then the vampire kiss, and then i pretty much began speedrunning to get the others lol I'm down to three left to find, amongst them Michael's true ending.
I really like how your art leveled up in this one, compared to one last goodbye! That last CG at vampire's kiss was excellent, and so very fitting for that moment of the story.
All in all, very glad to play another one of your games!
EDIT: Forgot to mention, but amazing job by the VAs!!! That made the experience so much better. Great job everyone!
Hi Mat!! Thank you so much for checking out my game!! 😁 I am so happy to see that you liked it even though it is not your kind of genre! I am so happy too to hear that you liked the art... I did try working on improving my skills, and I am happy to hear that it shows! (Will keep working on it!!)
I got really tired right before the Spooktober deadline and just couldn't work on it anymore... I actually had completed the game, but the GUI was not completely done yet. My teammates were kind enough to be alright with us publishing this later, so I thought I might as well do more with the GUI and its design, since I'd have one more month to work on it! 😊 I am definitely happy to hear that you enjoyed the experience of the game. Which normal ending did you get? Thank you for checking out all the other endings too!! 😆 I hope to work on more games this year, as I should have a little more time and energy. But I do hope to finish polishing my old games as well!
Glad to hear that, and hope you get more free time as well! I totally get that, sometimes making the game is just so tiring... and the gui is such a defining thing, sometimes even if the game is done is like... half done lol, and after a month working on something nonstop... yeah, the burnt out is pretty real. Still, glad you managed to pull it off in the end!
I've got, in order: Unexpected Salvation, Sweet Lamb of Sacrifice, A Vampire's Kiss, The promise of a beautiful future, Escape, Monster and Do you Trust Me?
Im still lacking 3, but sort of ran out of ideas on how to get them lol
Thanks! I really appreciate your encouragement! 😊💖
Spoilers!
Wow, you've actually gotten most of the important endings/good endings. Aside from Michael's “good" ending, the ones that are left are either similar to the ones you've got, or sadder endings. As for Michael's “good" ending, I would say it is only good in one way, but not a completely good ending, as in everyone is happy and well. TBH, the real “true" or “good" ending in Michael's arc is probably the one that you landed in on your first attempt!
The other probably more important ending that is missing from your list is one where the MC makes the choice to be completely independent.
Not sure how much spoilers you wanted, so I didn’t write too much here! But honestly, you’ve already explored the bulk of the story!
I actually *had* Till the bitter end, but forgot to write it haha! Then I guess I can call it a day here. And by all means, spoil all you want if there's anymore to spoil, I really like lore lol
Thank you for the kind response on the endings lol
Thanks for checking out the game again!! ☺️🌸 I was halfway through your game too! I can’t believe there is a sequel to Freakaversity! I remember I had so much fun reading it over Spooktober in 2022! I will let you know what I think too once I finish reading the story!
